With the constant rise in electricity costs, which have increased by 50% over the past ten years, we are seeing more and more solar panels popping up on the roofs of homes. It must be said that this leads to a significant reduction in electricity consumption for the residents of these homes, in addition to being a strong ecological gesture. To encourage owners to equip themselves, there are advantageous financial aids. So, what are you waiting for to take the plunge?
You always dreamed ofequip your house with solar panels ? It’s an excellent idea for the planet and for your wallet, but you still need to know where to start… To bring your project to life with complete peace of mind, follow the guide.
The most obvious appeal of solar panels is the potential for energy savings. This installation therefore represents a medium-term investment, which will help reduce the electricity bill. To optimize your project, and avoid scamsit is recommended to call an expert. Thus, by being accompanied by a network of photovoltaic panel installers these solar panels whose role is to transform solar energy into electricity, you can achieve up to 60% energy savings.
Please note that there are also thermal panels which are used to heat water. They make it possible to cover the domestic hot water needs of your home (solar water heater), or even to provide part of the heating (combined solar system). Beyond the financial interest, the installation of solar panels will help optimize the energy performance of your home. You will thus participate in the protection of the environment thanks to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions from your home.
A self-consumption bonus to finance your project
The self-consumption bonus is an aid set up by EDF OA (purchase obligation) aimed at encouraging individuals to directly consume the electricity they produce. It is defined according to the power of the solar installation (between 0 and 100 kWp). Until July 31, 2024, the scale applied is:
- 300 euros per kWp for an installation ≤ 3 kWp;
- 230 euros per kWp for an installation ≤ 9 kWp;
- 200 euros per kWp for an installation ≤ 36 kWp;
- 100 euros per kWp for an installation ≤ 100 kWp.
The self-consumption bonus is paid in one go one year after entry into service by Enedis, and its amount is reassessed each quarter. To benefit from it, the installation must meet certain conditions:
- It must be installed on a roof or a support structure, photovoltaic panels installed on the ground are not eligible;
- It must have a power of less than 100 kWp;
- It must have been carried out by an RGE (Recognized Environmental Guarantor) certified craftsman.
If everything is in order, this could result in obtaining the contract with EDF OA, the self-consumption bonus and the purchase of the surplus at a fixed rate of €0.13 per kWh.
