With four direct weekly flights, every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Athens will be connected to Sharjah via Air Arabia.
The Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier launched the first flight from Athens International Airport to Sharjah International Airport last Friday.
The welcoming ceremony of the first flight took place at Athens International Airport, in the presence of Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, the Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Antonis Alexandridis, UAE Ambassador to Greece Dr Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, as well as senior officials and guests.
At the official gala dinner held on the same day, the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefalogianni, warmly welcomed the start of Air Arabia flights with her speech.
