The actress spoke to IANS and shared that her mother is her guru and revealed the “greatest art” she has learnt.
Bhakti told IANS: “After working with various directors of different media houses, most of whom are teachers themselves, and even marrying one whom I almost adored, I realised as I grew up that the greatest art I was ever taught was ‘how to learn and how to be a good student’, which has enabled me to learn a lot more from all the teachers who have come into my life and will come in the future too.”
The actress shared that this invaluable lesson, which will keep her a lifelong learner, was taught to her by her only guru, her mother.
“A guru is someone who molds you into the right kind of soul so that you can get by throughout your life without having to rely on anyone else. This is what my mother did, she made sure that I never stopped learning wherever I could and thus never stopped growing. This Guru Purnima, and every other, I express my gratitude to my guru, my mother, who still devotes a good part of her life to my constructive personal progress.”
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Bhakti will next be seen in the film Journey alongside veteran actor Nana Patekar.
The film explores themes of perseverance, hope and the resilience of the human spirit.
Bhakti recently completed the dubbing of the film as well.
