Real estate prices are holding up in Strasbourg. They now reach 4,284 euros per m², according to the exclusive Bien’Ici barometer for BFM Immo.
Strasbourg real estate is now in decline. Thus, the average price reached 4,284 euros per m² in May (prices displayed in advertisements before negotiations), according to figures from our partner Bien’Ici*. Over one month, prices are down 1.1% and, over a year, they are down 1.2%.
On the rental side, prices are increasing. Thus, the average price of a rental is 19.8 euros. For a studio, you will need to count on average 540 euros per month and for a 3-room apartment 952 euros.
The Strasbourg population increased from 271,708 people in 2009 to 290,576 people in 2020, according to INSEE. If the non-active are the most numerous (63,307 “other people without professional activity” and 43,008 retirees), managers, intermediate professions and employees are also very present in Strasbourg with respectively 34,411 people, 34,053 people and 34,053 people. There are, on the other hand, few operating farmers (54 people) and few artisans, traders, business leaders (5,970 people).
The number of main residences increased from 127,995 in 2009 to 139,598 in 2020. Increase also for secondary residences (2,648 in 2009 against 7,713 in 2020) and vacant housing (9,813 in 2009 against 12,911 in 2020).
