All Labarthais know this beautiful residence at the entrance to the village center. The famous mansion, always called the house of the Andorrans.
We have seen work in progress for some time, let us be reassured, the building is not going to be destroyed. The town hall has acquired the building for the sum of €300,000. The aim is to house the Labarthaise associations there.
“Neither a developer nor an individual can destroy the beautiful houses in the town, except in danger,” says David-Olivier Carlier, deputy mayor for the living environment. The Pelissier house and the Chelet farm have already been preserved, even with a real estate project around them. In the community center, there will be about fifteen offices, a permanent reception area and a shared meeting room. We have also preserved a garden of about 300 m². The town was unable to buy the whole thing, which cost more than a million euros. The park is therefore the subject of a real estate project.”
The associations will be able to move into the offices of their house during 2025, when the surrounding real estate project is completed.
